This is the first line of the poem I penned under a full moon in Singapore after realizing in my bones that I was meant to be on stage and speak to inspire. No longer could I deny or hide from this significant part of me. This revelation was not entirely new; I had always felt at home on stage, I just hadn’t fully embraced the joy it brought.
As a student, my first call to speak my heart came when I joined the Amnesty International London Student Action Network committee. Despite my self-perceived shyness, I passionately shared my commitment to human rights with hundreds of students—an impactful moment that set the stage for my journey.
Passion for uncovering the true nature of our existence and understanding the core aspects.
Delving into topics such as love, spirituality, and the impracticality of living solely in the material sphere.
Advocating for embracing our inherently spiritual and ethereal selves alongside appreciating the physical realms.
Emphasis on honoring individual journeys, acknowledging both the pain and pleasure with equanimity.
Speaking about self-mastery, true independence, and the importance of living free from collective thought and notions.
Belief in the idea that independence of spirit leads to self-sufficiency, especially in emotional and spiritual well-being.
What makes my speeches unique? I interweave poetry into them because I believe poetry is a balm for the soul. I’ve had the privilege to speak at business networking events such as the Wild Women Collective Event, where I narrated my poem “Wild and the Woman United,” and the Women’s Careers Goals and Aspirations Event (WCGA), both in Dubai UAE.
As a speaker, to witness the eyes of my audience light up with a word or a phrase and to see their faces recall their own vibrancy brings me joy and boundless energy.
